About the position

The Program Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the agency, ensuring that residential sites and daily programming are effectively managed. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining licensing standards, and ensuring quality assurance in clinical practices. The Program Director will also be involved in outreach and business expansion efforts, as well as developing individualized treatment plans and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the agency.
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, and supervision of staff.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor systems to promote a positive therapeutic environment.
  • Enforce company policies and assist in creating new policies.
  • Maintain all licensing standards, accreditations, and credentialing.
  • Ensure site expenditures remain within budget.
  • Report on activities and status of each site.
  • Perform monthly HR audits and maintain personnel files.
  • Conduct site audits weekly, monthly, and quarterly as directed.
  • Responsible for quality assurance activities.
  • Ensure QA of all clinical files is complete upon admission, during placement, and upon discharge.
  • Handle continued stay requests and monthly reports as required.
  • Ensure all pre-employment and ongoing competency training is completed and documented.
  • Complete state and contractors' corrective actions.
  • Develop and prepare individualized treatment plans and programs as needed.
  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling as needed.
  • Support and supervise the clinical team in developing curriculum.
  • Provide clinical supervision for therapists and direct care staff during meetings.
  • Involve in outreach for company and business expansion.
  • Ensure all therapist clinical documentation is completed weekly.
  • Monitor residents' clinical treatment plans and assessments.
  • Assist in disciplinary actions of staff.
  • Ensure site schedules are updated and maintained for line staff.
  • Be on-call 24/7 to assist with operations and clinical support.
  • Meet with contract auditors for all audits.
  • Complete additional assignments assigned by the Executive Director.
  • Attend trainings and conferences on behalf of the company as needed.
  • Complete all renewal applications and initial licensure for expansion or current facilities.
  • Head new site development and programs for residential and outpatient services.
  • Assist in obtaining new contracts.

Requirements

  • A minimum of ten years' experience in behavioral health with at least five years' experience in management or administration of behavioral health programs.
  • Master's Degree from an accredited college in business, behavioral health, or social/behavioral science with four years of management experience in behavioral health programs.
  • Licensed as LPC, LISAC, LCSW, Clinical Psychologist, etc.
  • Must be certified to provide supervision.
