About the position

The Finance Manager at Firehawk Aerospace will play a crucial role in supporting the Program Management team with all business and financial efforts across the value stream. This position involves engaging in program start-up activities, earned value management, financial forecasting, and collaborating directly with Government customers. The Finance Manager will be responsible for generating various financial reports and analyses, supporting proposal development, and ensuring effective communication of financial information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Management team with business and financial efforts across the value stream.
  • Engage in program start-up activities and earned value management.
  • Generate work products for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual routines including Earned Value reporting and financial forecasting.
  • Support customer meetings and internal executive level meetings.
  • Engage in proposal development including reviews of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and cost volume development.
  • Prepare monthly earned value reporting and financial forecasts for key metrics.
  • Coordinate with program managers and other functions within the company.
  • Develop models and analysis within MS Excel to support program finance needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related field.
  • 5+ years of finance work experience; or an Advanced degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with consolidating and analyzing large financial data sets.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance.
  • Proficient in MS tool suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) including advanced formulas and pivot tables.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate financial information internally and externally.
  • Experience supporting DoD contracts in the aerospace/defense industry.
  • Prior program experience in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
