About the position

The Financial Analyst at Amentum is responsible for a comprehensive range of activities focused on collecting, reviewing, and analyzing financial information to identify business trends and issues. This role involves developing recommendations to enhance business solutions that help control costs and improve efficiency, ultimately supporting the program's goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support the accounting and financial activities at the site level in alignment with the program.
  • Assist in accounting and reporting activities, ensuring financial billing accuracy and Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) activities.
  • Establish and maintain Earned Value Management System (EVMS) metrics for contract mission sets at both site and program management levels.
  • Ensure the accuracy of business and financial information, including traceability of expenditures to appropriate contract line item numbers.
  • Maintain daily burn rate data analysis for cost control and trackability to approved Activity Cost Estimates Forms (ACEFs) and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
  • Enter EVM data into the STAMIS tracking system for Financial Accounting as per PWS section 3.1.7.
  • Perform trend and variance analysis of budgeted versus actual costs.
  • Process and submit ACEF data for site level requests to Program Management for accuracy checks.
  • Conduct due diligence, research, and documentation of transactions.
  • Provide timely responses for CLIN/SLIN de-obligation data upon request.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, process improvement, or a related area, or equivalent experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience in business analysis or process improvement.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance, NAC-I T1 Public Trust.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, EVMS, and governmental regulations.
  • Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
