About the position

The Little Medical School is seeking a motivated individual to serve as an After-School STEM Instructor. This part-time role involves leading interactive classes for children, focusing on health and science topics. Instructors will engage students through demonstrations, crafts, and games, teaching them about the human body, medical instruments, and first aid procedures. The position offers flexible scheduling and is ideal for pre-med or nursing students, although a medical background is not required as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead a series of one-hour classes featuring interactive demonstrations, crafts, and games.
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment for students.
• Create a welcoming and youth-friendly classroom space.
• Provide positive interaction with students, emphasizing health and science.
• Pick up and return supplies to the LMS Territory Manager.

Requirements

• Experience in teaching or working with children is preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to be prompt and on-time for classes.

Nice-to-haves

• Background in health or science is a plus, but not required.
