About the position

The Program Interventionist at South Campus is responsible for supporting high-risk children and adolescents in a special education setting. This full-time role involves implementing behavior management strategies, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and providing direct support to students and staff. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to make timely decisions based on analysis and experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn and implement the RIS system to maintain consistency across offices.
• Provide backup and coverage for RIS offices as needed.
• Offer secondary support in classrooms and feedback on behavior programs to staff.
• Manage the school's motivational system and scan student behavior reports for home districts.
• Document and track interventions used for each student.
• Project a positive, professional image through effective communication and problem-solving.
• Participate in the development and implementation of Behavior Management Plans (BIP) and attend Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA) meetings.
• Maintain availability to students and staff for support and consultation.
• Participate in staff meetings and in-service training sessions.

Requirements

• Substitute Teaching Certification or Paraprofessional License.
• At least 2 years of experience working with high-risk children and adolescents.
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong decision-making skills based on analysis and experience.
