About the position

The Veteran Talent Program Lead is a crucial role aimed at enhancing military recruiting programs within a multinational pharmaceutical company. This position focuses on developing strategic partnerships and initiatives to broaden the reach of veteran talent acquisition efforts. The role involves collaboration with the Veteran's Leadership Network and other organizations to create and execute recruitment strategies that align with the company's Skills-first initiatives, ensuring a diverse pipeline of military talent.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and optimize current recruitment strategy for external partners, military bases, and transition/veteran centers.
  • Create strategic framework to scale military recruiting programs with Hiring Our Heroes & DOD SkillBridge.
  • Consult on training plans for new DOD SkillBridge opportunities and support related recruitment activities.
  • Maintain responsibility for driving veteran engagement, recruitment, and program support activities related to SkillBridge programs.
  • Research and recommend innovative programs, partnerships, and talent pipelines to enhance military and veteran talent attraction strategies.
  • Develop relationships with external vendors, military bases, and transition/veteran centers to promote the company and attract candidates.
  • Build candidate pipelines and develop local networks to ensure a constant flow of qualified candidates.
  • Oversee and drive participation in national military events and recruiting conferences.
  • Leverage data and analytics to inform and adjust strategy, implementation, and partnership delivery against program goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Military background is a huge plus.
  • 5-6 years of talent acquisition experience.
  • 1-2 years of program management experience.
