About the position

Join RailPros as a Program Management Intern and gain hands-on experience in project management within the civil and rail engineering field. This internship offers an opportunity to work with our program management team, contributing to the planning, execution, and completion of various civil projects focused on public transit improvements. Projects range from preliminary planning to construction, involving the management of individual project elements and coordination across the program to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating individual projects and managing interactions between projects to align with program goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, project expenditures, schedule updates, scope updates, budget trends, and project plans. Prepare regular updates for stakeholders.
• Facilitate effective communication among project team members, clients, and stakeholders. Serve as a liaison to ensure seamless information flow.
• Support the development and maintenance of project schedules. Monitor progress, address deviations, and identify conflicts in schedules across projects.
• Work with cross-functional teams including engineers, architects, and contractors within RailPros and with external agencies to achieve project milestones.
• Use this internship to gain insights into civil engineering program and project management.

Requirements

• Working toward a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
• Proficiency in electronic communication (e.g., email, text) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Collaborative with a strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
