About the position

The Program Management Manager (PMM) will lead strategic initiatives within the Sales and Marketing Business Operations department of a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO). This role focuses on overseeing program planning, execution, and ensuring on-time delivery while facilitating collaboration across various functions to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The PMM will also serve as a key communicator between clients and internal teams to ensure comprehensive understanding and alignment on project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects with multiple interdependencies to achieve strategic goals for the organization and clients.
  • Plan and schedule all client-facing meetings, representing the company and preparing meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Oversee project schedules, regularly updating and sharing GANTT charts with clients, and tracking project performance.
  • Monitor project resources, estimate earnings and expenses, and perform reconciliations to share with clients monthly.
  • Oversee project budgets, trigger change orders, and communicate project results, risks, and issues effectively.
  • Support reconciliation and forecasting for the portfolio of J-Star projects, providing biweekly financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Manage client relationships in collaboration with project leads and alert executive management of any concerns.
  • Ensure strict adherence to IP compliance for project documentation and proper archiving of internal reports.
  • Draft and apply project management-related standard tools, processes, and templates.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Line Management.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in a chemistry or engineering-related field preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with implementing project management methodologies.
  • PMP certification preferred, but not required.
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology company, CRO, or CDMO is required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Clear and transparent communication skills and a passion for continuous learning.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other job-related software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in project management within a CDMO or similar environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management tools and software.
