About the position

The position at Veolia North America is designed to support the CEO of the Regulated Utility Business by acting as a strategic partner to the Utility Executive Team. This role is pivotal in enhancing communication and collaboration among the executive leadership, which includes presidents and vice presidents. The individual will be responsible for managing the flow of information and ensuring that the executives are well-informed about company initiatives and issues. This position requires a proactive approach, as the individual will need to facilitate strategic planning meetings, manage the agenda for Executive Committee meetings, and provide recommendations to improve teamwork among department leaders. In addition to these responsibilities, the role involves developing key processes, pulling necessary data, and creating compelling presentations and business review materials that span various functions. The individual will act as a force multiplier for the Executive Team, stepping in to manage ad hoc processes and strategic initiatives as needed. This behind-the-scenes role demands a high level of trust and confidentiality, as the individual will be privy to sensitive information and will need to maintain the confidence of all stakeholders involved. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment and will be expected to travel as needed to various utilities across states such as New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Rhode Island, and Idaho. Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact between the Utility Executive Team and employees or other stakeholders.
  • Provide department leaders with recommendations and consultation to improve teamwork.
  • Plan, coordinate, and keep contents of a meeting focused on the meeting objective.
  • Manage monthly Executive Committee meetings and subcommittees, including agenda and meeting content management.
  • Facilitate meetings for strategic planning and global collaboration among the company's executive-level employees.
  • Gate-keep and monitor the flow of multi-platform communications to and from the CEO.
  • Assist in keeping executives up-to-date on company initiatives and issues.
  • Work with the CEO and Executive Team to establish annual, quarterly, and monthly strategic priorities and facilitate workflows advancing them.
  • Drive efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the CEO and the Executive Team.
  • Manage CEO preparation for important internal and external meetings and events.
  • Drive project structure and activities to plan and ensure alignment to organizational goals and responsibilities throughout the company on behalf of the CEO and Executive Team.
  • Manage ad-hoc processes and strategic initiatives as needed on behalf of the CEO and Executive Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business related field.
  • A Master's Degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, or an equivalent field (consulting, strategy analyst, or business analyst backgrounds at growth companies preferred).
  • Extensive track record of project leadership with a proven ability to track, prioritize and drive multiple concurrent projects to success.
  • Proven ability to be flexible and adaptive to changing business environment.
