About the position

The Program Manager will oversee a team of engineers and manage the execution of contracts related to various engineering projects. This role involves project planning, personnel management, risk management, and ensuring quality and financial accountability throughout the acquisition lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of senior and journeyman level mechanical and electrical engineers.
• Manage overall execution of the contract including project planning and personnel management.
• Oversee project risk management and resource scheduling.
• Provide status reporting and issue resolution.
• Handle financial management and quality assurance.
• Manage earned value management for the program.
• Support the full spectrum of the acquisition lifecycle including design reviews, prototype development, and production readiness.
• Engage in technology domains such as undersea acoustics, cable fabrication, and software development.
• Conduct engineering responsibilities including cyber test and evaluation and environmental testing.
• Oversee systems engineering responsibilities including requirements definition and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience as a Program Manager managing engineering teams.
• Experience in Navy Program Management responsibilities, preferably in the undersea domain.
• Familiarity with Lightweight and Heavyweight torpedoes is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a STEM or business management field.
• PMP certification is a plus.
