About the position
The Program Manager A&D position at MACOM will provide day-to-day leadership and focus on the execution of GaN-SiC semiconductor component projects specifically for the Aerospace and Defense markets. The program manager will be responsible for overseeing schedule development, program execution, cost tracking and containment, as well as ensuring technical and schedule performance. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and create executable plans to release new products to production. The program manager will monitor progress for all active projects to ensure alignment with KPI goals and will identify and address issues impacting team performance through decisive actions such as escalation, re-prioritization, and technical solutions. Additionally, the program manager will assess risks, prepare mitigation strategies, and coordinate material procurement in alignment with program requirements. Effective communication across the MACOM organization and with customers is essential, as is an understanding of AS9100 Aerospace and Defense requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership for GaN-SiC semiconductor component projects.
- Oversee schedule development and program execution.
- Track costs and contain expenses related to projects.
- Ensure technical and schedule performance of projects.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define project requirements.
- Create executable plans to release new products to production.
- Monitor progress of active projects toward KPI goals.
- Identify issues impacting team performance and take decisive actions to mitigate them.
- Assess risks and prepare risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate material procurement in alignment with program requirements.
- Assess staffing requirements for programs.
- Collaborate with various functional areas to develop and deliver products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field.
- 5 years' experience in program or project leadership positions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Experience with Agile development systems for product development.
- Familiarity with SAP.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
- Understanding of AS9100 Aerospace and Defense requirements.
