About the position

The Program Manager for Advancement and Student Development at North Seattle College is responsible for overseeing administrative functions within the Student Success division. This role involves managing budgets, supporting hiring processes, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments. The Program Manager will also provide excellent customer service to students and visitors, maintain office operations, and facilitate training for faculty and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead administrative assignments for the Student Success division.
  • Support division budgets and fiscal matters including travel, purchasing, and budget reports.
  • Facilitate hiring processes and support interview committees.
  • Maintain office operations and equipment, ensuring functionality and inventory management.
  • Provide front desk coverage and customer service to students and visitors.
  • Coordinate meetings and maintain schedules for the Dean and departments.
  • Assist with compliance to policies and procedures established by the college and district.
  • Support the Dean in gathering assessment data and compiling reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of professional experience in a higher education setting, or four years of supervisory/administrative experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of Peoplesoft Student Management System (ctcLink) or similar databases, and proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, MS Teams, Excel).
  • Ability to interpret detailed information and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a high-volume workload.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with student conduct management systems like Maxient.
  • Familiarity with budget management and procurement processes.
