About the position

The Program Manager for AGS Technology at Amazon Web Services (AWS) plays a crucial role in supporting the Solution Architect and Customer Solution Manager teams within North America. This position focuses on enhancing team culture and efficiency through strategic communication and program management, ensuring that AWS technical teams can better serve their customers in their cloud journey. The ideal candidate is customer-obsessed, intellectually curious, and possesses strong strategic planning skills to drive meaningful improvements within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage strategic communications processes for the organization, including quarterly town hall meetings, newsletters, awards recognition programs, and in-person leadership meetings.
  • Own the knowledge bases for the organization and continually improve the adoption and content to best meet customer needs, including management of Wikis, Quips, and standard documentation.
  • Partner with Marketing and Recruiting to execute team branding across materials, recruiting efforts, and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with workforce development programs to execute initiatives.
  • Work with technical productivity and enablement teams to optimize the new hire onboarding experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Minimum 5 years of Microsoft Office Suite experience, including Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor's degree is required

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field
  • Exhibits sound business judgment and a proven ability to influence others
  • Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization
  • Highly organized with multi-tasking skills and efficient in ambiguous situations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of presenting to senior management
  • Cross-group collaboration skills
