About the position

The Program Manager for Ambulatory Team Health Initiatives will oversee the development, planning, execution, and ongoing monitoring of a new episodic-care delivery model aimed at improving access to healthcare for team members and their dependents. This role involves collaboration with various departments to ensure seamless coordination of care, enhance health outcomes, and implement innovative solutions in healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of an episodic-care delivery model for team members and their dependents.
  • Collaborate with primary care departments and senior leaders to analyze market demand for healthcare services.
  • Assist in developing strategies to expand VCU Health Primary Care services.
  • Streamline access to specialty appointments and coordinate care to reduce no-show rates.
  • Develop an online tracking mechanism for referral requests in collaboration with IT.
  • Create a marketing and communication plan for the launch and expansion of health initiatives.
  • Work with third-party payors to improve employee benefit communications and patient education.
  • Develop a patient concierge model to enhance access to primary care services.
  • Analyze local competitors and explore partnerships to meet healthcare demand.
  • Monitor annual employee plan medical spending in collaboration with Benefits COE.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in business management, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare, Administration, or Nursing from an accredited program.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience with progressive supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Access, clinical workflows, Lean Six Sigma, project coordination.
