Morehouse School of Medicine, Office of Academic Programs and Affiliations (APA) is seeking a dedicated Program Manager for its future regional medical campus in Chattanooga, TN, in collaboration with CHI Memorial. This position is designed for an individual who resides in the Chattanooga area and is willing to travel to Atlanta regularly. The Program Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the development and management of the regional medical campus, ensuring that it meets the educational and community outreach goals set forth by Morehouse School of Medicine. This exempt salaried position will be supervised by the regional dean of the Morehouse School of Medicine for Chattanooga, with a dotted line reporting to the associate dean for APA. Additionally, the role will report to the manager of community benefits and diversity at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. The position is structured as 0.75 FTE for Morehouse School of Medicine and 0.25 FTE for CHI Memorial. The Program Manager will be responsible for arranging placements and rotations for MD and PA students, maintaining community engagement, and collaborating with local programs to promote healthcare careers. This role will also involve engaging with potential donors to support the regional medical campus and assisting in the application process for accreditation once a sufficient number of students are enrolled. The Program Manager will serve as a liaison for student issues, manage program budgets, and oversee the onboarding process for new students. The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering relationships with preceptors and community partners to enhance the educational experience for students. This position requires a proactive individual who can navigate the complexities of academic program management while promoting diversity and inclusion within the healthcare field.
