About the position

The Program Manager for Assessment Operations within Amazon's Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization will lead supplier qualification and improvement programs to support Amazon's sustainability strategy. This role involves managing compliance with labor standards through industry audits, optimizing global processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, operational expertise, and the ability to engage with various stakeholders to enhance social responsibility auditing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Drive key components of WWSR's largest assessment program and ensure global processes are optimized.
  • Work closely with WWSR Global Solutions and Risk Compliance teams to provide support and feedback on program processes.
  • Support the establishment of operational processes and quality mechanisms for new WWSR initiatives.
  • Utilize operational expertise to improve reporting mechanisms and highlight gaps.
  • Identify and capture KPIs to measure process quality and provide feedback to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to implement operational changes and address quality concerns.
  • Engage with peer brands to identify gaps in the social responsibility auditing industry and participate in industry-wide initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, or risk/loss prevention.
  • Experience in program requirements definition and leveraging data and metrics for improvements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a record of cross-group collaboration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional auditing qualification or similar risk or compliance credentials.
  • Experience with SQL and Excel.
  • Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams.
  • General interest in Social Responsibility and Sustainability.
