About the position

The Asset Management Technical Lead at AECOM will focus on enhancing transportation infrastructure and buildings through effective asset management strategies. This role involves collaborating with client agencies to develop and implement tailored solutions that address their business needs, utilizing data analysis, technology integration, and process improvement. The position requires strong project management skills and the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders while ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with internal and external clients, regulatory bodies, policy developers, vendors, and contractors
  • Manage project budgets and schedules, and prepare written reports for clients and senior executives
  • Adapt and respond to changes in client expectations
  • Utilize data collection technologies and methodologies
  • Document client asset management business processes and capabilities
  • Develop asset inventories and asset management plans
  • Analyze asset inventories to assess the impact of funding levels on maintenance costs and reliability
  • Integrate analytical results into client financial plans
  • Write reports and present findings
  • Conduct and document consulting assignments to a high professional standard
  • Contribute to overall engagement profitability and performance
  • Deliver timely and quality services that meet or exceed expectations
  • Participate in professional organizations relevant to asset management
  • Develop capital improvement program scenarios based on conditions and client priorities
  • Utilize state DOT transportation asset management plans and decision support tools
  • Advance strategic business initiatives and support existing client relationships
  • Develop and execute winning client strategies for contract bids
  • Support all phases of contract procurement
  • Mentor and coach team members as required
  • Serve as a reviewer

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree with 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience
  • US Citizenship required due to the nature of work
  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field with 4 years of related experience preferred
  • Experience in transportation infrastructure asset management
  • Project management skills within infrastructure asset management
  • Familiarity with the entire life cycle of physical and infrastructure assets
  • MS Degree in relevant fields is a plus
  • Exposure to asset management, financial analysis, or management consulting
  • Understanding of asset management policies and practices
  • IAM Certification or Diploma is preferred
  • Experience with asset management software and tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and analytics software
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with BIM and/or CIIM
  • Knowledge of asset management policies and emerging research
  • Experience managing Asset Management projects and/or staff
