About the position

The Program Manager for Before, After, and Summer School Programs at West Haven Community House is responsible for assisting the CYS Program Director in the administration, development, implementation, and oversight of all aspects of the Children and Youth Services (CYS) program. This role ensures that program services meet and exceed professional standards and comply with state regulations. The position requires strong leadership and supervisory skills to guide staff and ensure effective program delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist the CYS Program Director with administration and oversight of the CYS program.
• Develop, implement, and oversee a CYS Program that adheres to regulations and professional standards.
• Monitor and assess the program's effectiveness and progress towards goals.
• Provide leadership and guidance to CYS staff for program planning and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with Best Practices and state licensing standards.
• Assist in hiring and supervising CYS staff, including Site Supervisors.
• Serve as a resource for teachers in service delivery and child development.
• Oversee curriculum development and implementation.
• Conduct performance reviews and administer disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure health and safety policies are followed and inspections are conducted.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field preferred (or Associates Degree & 10 years' experience in field).
• 5 years' experience in the delivery or administration of a multi-site licensed CYS program.
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
• Requires state of CT Head Teacher Certification or ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, not required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in program planning and curriculum development.
• Knowledge of OEC and BCIS requirements.
