About the position

The Behavioral Health Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the administrative and clinical supervision of mental health services for children, adolescents, and adults. This role focuses on ensuring the quality of service delivery, compliance with regulations, and the development of programs that support individuals in their mental health journey. The manager will lead a team, ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations, and foster a supportive environment for both staff and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of behavioral health programs.
  • Provide leadership to the team through clinical supervision, consultation, training, and support.
  • Plan and coordinate counseling and case management activities, including program goals and evaluation of outcome measures.
  • Ensure participant and program goals are met in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in program activities, including meetings and business development.
  • Participate in hiring, orientation, supervision, and mentoring of staff, providing training on best practices.
  • Comply with and enforce agency administrative procedures and policies to ensure efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Clinical Director.

Requirements

  • A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience providing counseling services to ethnically diverse children, adolescents, and families.
  • At least two years of supervisory/program management experience in human services.
  • Clinical experience in crisis assessment and treatment with proven ability to deliver effective counseling services.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in behavioral therapy and treatment of multiple issues.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with timely follow-up to manage complex tasks.
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to effectively and respectfully resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage increased workload.
  • Ability to work successfully in a multicultural/multi-ethnic environment.
  • Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Electronic Health Records.
