About the position

The Business and Community Engagement Manager oversees staff, operations, and performance across Goodwill's programs. This role fosters relationships with local businesses, community groups, and government entities, leading outreach efforts, workshops, and events to strengthen community ties. Acting as the primary liaison, the Manager ensures that engagement strategies align with community needs, promoting sustainable development and enhancing Goodwill's reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive community engagement strategy.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with local businesses and community organizations.
  • Plan and facilitate community events, workshops, and outreach programs.
  • Conduct assessments to understand community needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate community feedback into programs and services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement activities and initiatives.
  • Prepare and present reports on community engagement metrics and outcomes.
  • Effectively recruit, hire, develop, supervise and evaluate personnel.
  • Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, community development, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community engagement, outreach, business development, or a similar role preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of developing business and community relationships or case management experience working with a wide variety of partner organizations is preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience in non-profit preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making processes.
  • Experience in event planning and community organizing.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Pay Range: $55,000 - $60,000
