About the position

The Program Manager (Business Development) at Group14 Technologies is responsible for overseeing the customer qualification process for battery products, acting as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams. This role ensures that program milestones are met on time and within budget, supporting the company's mission to supply innovative battery solutions to major automotive and consumer electronics manufacturers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage battery qualification programs for automotive and consumer electronics customers.
  • Support customers through Qualification, Start of Production, and Post-Production phases.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for automotive and consumer electronics battery customers during qualification programs.
  • Partner with Operations and Quality to enhance part quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding program status, issues, and accomplishments.
  • Develop relationships with customers across various functional departments.
  • Support the APQP process for new programs and program changes.
  • Coordinate onsite customer visits.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience, with at least 3+ years in Program Management.
  • B.S., M.S./MBA degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the automotive and battery space, particularly with OEMs, Tier 1, or Tier 2 suppliers.
  • Proven track record in managing complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Intermediate to fluent proficiency in German, with experience supporting customers in Germany.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with international customers.
  • Understanding of the Automotive qualification cycle and APQP process.
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales software.
  • Experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems.
  • Prior experience in a startup environment.
