About the position

The Program Manager for the Cancer Center/Molecular Oncology at NYU Langone Health is responsible for managing and coordinating all practices within the program. This includes overseeing compliance issues, daily operations, and workflow projects aimed at enhancing program efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role involves collaboration with unit leadership to ensure optimal development and productivity levels.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, and monitors departmental activities in collaboration with supervisory staff.
  • Provides guidance and leadership regarding compliance issues to supervisory staff.
  • Responsible for conducting performance appraisals of management staff.
  • Works with leadership to ensure scheduled workloads align with staff capabilities.
  • Plans, develops, and implements new procedures for respective units with management staff.
  • Schedules and conducts regular meetings with key personnel to promote effective services.
  • Addresses contingencies in planning and uses verifiable data for decision-making.
  • Proposes and implements programs for generating new revenue.
  • Oversees activity programs to ensure compliance with departmental policies.
  • Maintains records and prepares required reports for the department.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations and acts as a liaison for compliance issues.
  • Prepares for inspections by regulatory agencies and implements quality assurance programs.
  • Controls costs and establishes systems for accurate charge entries.
  • Assists in budget preparation and monitors departmental performance against budget.
  • Implements new policies and procedures related to compliance and organizational changes.
  • Orients and trains all staff related to departmental operations and monitors performance.
  • Supervises staff and provides ongoing feedback and guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience overseeing office activities and working with clinical and regulatory staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency in standard office software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to interpret and implement policies and procedures effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
