About the position

As a Program Manager for Change Management Tool Installation at Micron Technology, you will play a pivotal role in driving projects and programs that align with the site’s mission and goals. Your primary responsibility will be to manage change requests effectively, ensuring that tool installations proceed smoothly and efficiently. This position requires you to work closely with leadership teams to navigate the PMI-defined five lifecycle phases of project management, which include initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. You will be tasked with designing programs that accurately predict results and outcomes critical to the success of the projects you oversee. In this role, you will be the primary contact for program sponsors regarding the technical performance of assigned programs. You will collaborate with sponsors and stakeholders to define the problems to be solved, establish project scopes, set measurements of progress, and outline timelines for achievements and completion. Tracking performance metrics and publishing regular updates to business partners will be essential to keep all stakeholders informed about project and program performance. Additionally, you will manage the Program and Project Management Software Systems, developing reports for users on project and program data. As the Project Management Process Owner, you will define, implement, lead, and continuously improve project management business processes across the organization. This includes deploying and implementing project management practices to ensure alignment with worldwide standards. You will also advocate for and demonstrate the value of project management to all team members, applying organizational change management principles to lead the people side of changes necessary for program success. Your role will also involve providing training and documentation for project and program management, developing content for training sessions, and maintaining comprehensive documentation for site-wide project/program management and business processes. Consulting with leadership on the application of project management skills in career paths will also be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Be an active participant in the EHSS program by reporting all EHSS-related concerns or problems immediately.
  • Act as the primary contact for program sponsors regarding technical performance of the program towards metric benchmarks.
  • Work with program sponsors and collaborators to define the problem to be solved, project scope, measurements of progress, timelines, and resources.
  • Track performance metrics for the program and associated projects, publishing regular updates to business partners.
  • Manage Program and Project Management Software Systems, developing reports for users on project and program data.
  • Define, implement, lead, and continuously improve project management business processes.
  • Deploy and implement project management processes and practices throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with sister sites for benchmarking and advocate for project management value.
  • Apply organizational change management principles to lead the people side of changes needed for program success.
  • Develop content and source material for all project and program management training.
  • Build and deliver class content and maintain documentation for site-wide project/program management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • PMP Certification or Project Management Training desired.
  • 3 years of semiconductor/manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with Tableau and Power BI (or other strong reporting skills).

Nice-to-haves

  • First-on knowledge of Tool Installation in a semiconductor Fab.
