About the position

The Program Manager, Clinical Education at ArchWell Health is responsible for overseeing clinical training and compliance within their assigned region. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance clinical performance, develop training programs, and ensure adherence to clinical processes and regulations. The position emphasizes mentorship, continuous improvement, and effective communication to foster a supportive environment for clinical staff and patients alike.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Center Managers and Operations Directors to create orientation and training schedules for RN/MA.
  • Travel to centers to assist with clinical orientation.
  • Guide new clinical colleagues through training and mentoring.
  • Participate in RN and MA training development.
  • Create annual clinical competency content and complete training.
  • Act as a corporate BLS trainer, monitoring staff licensure and completing training as needed.
  • Participate in creating and completing audits.
  • Collaborate with Providers and Center Managers to identify opportunities to improve clinical performance of back-office personnel and functions.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of performance improvement activities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of state regulations for nursing, medicine, and pharmacy as it relates to scope of practice for back-office personnel.
  • Identify and provide appropriate resources to educate patients and staff members on clinical conditions and processes.
  • Communicate effectively in all areas of practice, motivating and engaging colleagues around common goals.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Serve as a resource for staff to guide them to appropriate resources.

Requirements

  • AA/AS degree in Nursing required; BA/BS degree in Nursing (BSN) or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • A valid, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in state(s) of employment required.
  • A minimum of 5 years' current direct nursing/medical work experience required.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Nursing manager/supervisor or in a similar leadership capacity required.
  • BLS certification for healthcare providers required.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare functions, including clinical functions, practice safety processes, reimbursement practices, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Track record of developing and implementing processes for providing excellent customer service.
  • Superior clinical/patient care skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of clinical procedures, legal rules and regulations, and best practices in healthcare.
  • Skilled in observation, training, and evaluating clinical/patient care competencies.
  • Ability to effectively leverage business and organizational knowledge within and across functional areas.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and integrity, driven and focused work ethic.
  • Continuous desire to learn and embrace new methods; ability to adapt and be resilient.
  • Self-starter with the ability to think creatively and work effectively.
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively with various seniorities and diverse populations including staff, providers, members, and family members.
  • Excellent critical reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven skills in budgeting and fiscal management preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish or other languages spoken by people in the communities served is desirable, but not required.
