About the position

Kings County is seeking a Program Manager/Clinical Program Manager to oversee the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Program within the Behavioral Health Department. This role involves planning, organizing, and administering the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) System of Care Team, ensuring compliance with contracts and quality assurance standards. The position can be filled as either a Program Manager or Clinical Program Manager, depending on the qualifications of the candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Behavioral Health Department's Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Program.
  • Plan, organize, and administer the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) System of Care Team.
  • Coordinate with the SUD Quality Assurance Manager and Team.
  • Manage contracts and programs related to SUD.
  • Ensure compliance with grant and contract requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, behavioral health, public health, social work, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in administration or management of social services or health programs.
  • Valid California driver's license.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel for meetings and conferences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish/English.
  • Supervisory experience in clinical settings.
  • Master's degree in a related field may substitute for experience.
