About the position

The Program Manager for the Co-Production of Knowledge Initiative at the Center for Science and Society (CSS) plays a pivotal role in shaping the programmatic strategy and organization of the initiative. Reporting directly to the Faculty Director and the Associate Director, this position is integral to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers, scholars, and practitioners across various fields, including social and natural sciences, humanities, law, medicine, and the arts. The CSS aims to dismantle traditional disciplinary barriers, creating a new paradigm for training and collaboration that enhances public understanding of science in relation to pressing social issues. The Co-Production of Knowledge Initiative specifically addresses climate and environmental challenges through collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches. The responsibilities encompass managing the Network on Community-Driven Co-production of Knowledge Initiative, planning and overseeing events and conferences, and establishing connections with community partners. The Program Manager will also manage grant programs, including the creation and dissemination of calls for applications, organizing the grant review process, and supporting grantees throughout their project planning and implementation phases. Additionally, the Program Manager will assist in curriculum development, facilitate experiential learning projects, and coordinate with the Provost Office for new course and degree program approvals. Participation in fundraising and development activities, preparation of the fiscal year budget, and the development of presentations and reports are also key components of this position.
