About the position

The College & Career Program Manager at Girls Group is responsible for developing and implementing a vision for an enhanced high school graduate program aimed at supporting low-income high school and college students and their families. This role involves managing various mentoring programs, maintaining an alumni network, and collaborating with educational institutions and community partners to ensure high-quality services and participant engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage College & Career programming services
  • Manage 6 cohorts of 1st-6th year post high school individual monthly mentoring
  • Manage 12th Grade high school individual monthly mentoring
  • Plan and facilitate biweekly College & Career groups
  • Plan and facilitate monthly social meet ups
  • Manage scholarships/emergency funding
  • Manage peer mentoring and career mentoring
  • Plan and facilitate biannual Alumni reunions
  • Maintain weekly program calendar, ensure adequate program space, and sufficient staffing for sites
  • Attend group program sessions on a recurring basis to mentor staff/interns and observe site dynamics
  • Observe and provide feedback to staff and interns during pre-meeting and debrief and provide mentoring support to participants
  • Develop training and intervention plans based on site/staff needs
  • Manage participant re-engagement initiatives, develop participant retention interventions, and collaborate with direct reports to ensure attendance goals are met for individual, group programming and social events
  • Actively plan, facilitate, and contribute to assigned agency meetings to support staff engagement, quality of services, positive team dynamics, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures
  • Manage College & Career social media accounts and create monthly Alumni Newsletter

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work with limited or full license, Child Development & Family Studies, Education, or related field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with first generation students and their families in the college admission and/or college counseling process
  • Experience leading teams or supervising staff
  • Project or program management experience
  • Knowledge of child development, social justice, and youth programming
  • Able to provide support for students who may be experiencing crisis
