About the position

The Program Manager - Commercial Excellence at Great Dane is responsible for leading strategic initiatives to enhance commercial effectiveness and drive business growth. This role involves facilitating Agile Release Train (ART) processes, ensuring collaboration and delivery excellence across multiple teams, and promoting the adoption of Agile methodologies within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic programs and initiatives aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) processes and ceremonies, including Program Increment (PI) Planning and Scrum of Scrums.
  • Identify and address obstacles and dependencies impacting timely delivery, monitor progress towards sprint goals, and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Coach and mentor Agile teams, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners on Agile principles and practices.
  • Drive the implementation of business agility practices across the organization, including SAFe or other frameworks.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the Agile Release Train (ART).
  • Provide regular updates and reports on program progress, milestones, and KPIs to management.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and dependencies affecting program delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience in strategic program management with a track record of leading complex initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks (SAFe) with experience in implementing business agility practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean).
  • Experience with Agile work item management tools such as Jira; Microsoft Viva Goals experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills with the ability to influence teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to change.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in Agile transformation initiatives or large-scale Agile programs.
