About the position

The Program Manager for Community Support Services at Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center is responsible for overseeing the delivery of case management services through a strengths-based approach. This role emphasizes empowering individuals and families by providing tailored support, supervising case managers, developing best practices, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. The Program Manager will also collaborate with community partners to enhance service offerings and monitor program effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strengths-based case management model that promotes client empowerment, resilience, and self-sufficiency.
  • Lead the recruitment and hiring process for case management staff, including conducting interviews and selecting qualified candidates.
  • Provide leadership and individual/group supervision to the case management team, offering guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee and ensure high-quality case management services that are holistic, client-centered, and strengths-focused.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local service providers, community organizations, and government agencies to enhance service offerings.
  • Monitor and assess program outcomes, including service delivery metrics, client satisfaction, and overall program effectiveness.
  • Manage program budget, including resource allocation.
  • Ensure that the program complies with BNC program policies, all state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in case management.

Requirements

  • Master's degree required, preferably in clinical or counseling psychology, clinical social work, mental health counseling, or psychiatric nursing.
  • 5+ years of experience in social work/social services/clinical services and program management/supervision.
  • Licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board in Kansas with the ability to diagnose mental health and substance use disorders.
  • At least 2 years of experience in mental health service delivery to adults with recurrent mental health issues.
  • Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and valid car insurance.

  • Knowledge of community service programs and resources designed to assist targeted populations.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and complex cases (e.g., homelessness, mental health, substance abuse).
