About the position

The Program Manager, Curriculum Design at the University of South Alabama is responsible for coordinating the design and implementation of a research administration curriculum aimed at enhancing educational offerings. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met, overseeing the development of online curriculum, and managing NSF grant-related activities. The position requires a strong background in instructional design and a commitment to innovative educational practices.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates communication and project deliverables with all other sub-awardees to ensure project objectives are met in a timely fashion.
  • Assists in the design and development of a research administration curriculum that forms the basis for an undergraduate minor and/or concentration.
  • Innovates the use of stackable and micro credentials based on curriculum materials for adoption by higher education institutions.
  • Oversees the design of 16 credit hours of online undergraduate curriculum delivered to university and community college participants in the NSF grant.
  • Assists in the review and dissemination of a Marketing Toolkit and Social Media campaign for new credentials and degree programs.
  • Leads the development of a work-based guide for students enrolled in the undergraduate research and grant administration curriculum.
  • Assists in the management of the NSF award including budget oversight and required reporting.
  • Maintains existing C-ALISA classroom documentation and provides a pedagogical point of contact for faculty.
  • Conducts workshops in C-ALISA spaces to model technology-enhanced pedagogy for faculty from various disciplines.
  • Ensures regular and prompt attendance and ability to work additional hours as required.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in instructional design, education technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Five years of directly related professional experience, with two years including instructional design in a higher education setting.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Nice-to-haves

  • A doctoral degree is preferred.
