About the position

The Program Manager for the Curriculum Redesign Project at Danbury Public Schools is responsible for leading a multi-faceted initiative aimed at enhancing educational delivery for linguistically diverse learners. This role involves managing a significant grant, coordinating various project activities, and ensuring alignment with the district's strategic goals for multilingual education. The Program Manager will work closely with school administrators, curriculum coordinators, and community stakeholders to implement effective curricula and professional development programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the grant-funded project to redesign the Danbury Public School system, ensuring alignment with grant objectives and timelines.
  • Work closely with key administrators to ensure seamless integration of new initiatives into the existing school framework.
  • Integrate new data systems with the Director of Assessment to report on student progress and the objectives of each funded area.
  • Prepare regular reports on project status, achievements, and challenges for funders and stakeholders.
  • Work with the business office to maintain budgets, process costs, and reporting.
  • Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders, including school administrators, teachers, parents, and community members.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to ensure the successful implementation of project components.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Education, Curriculum Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in the educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of multilingual learner needs and bilingual education.
  • Experience in curriculum development and teacher training.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with data systems and educational technology.
