About the position

The Program Manager (Deputy Chief of Staff) serves as a senior advisor and technical expert to the Commanding General at the Department of Defense. This role involves conducting strategic analysis, managing organizational policies, and overseeing the Command Group's support staff. The position requires a strong focus on aviation program management and resource management, ensuring that mission requirements are met effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Deputy Chief of Staff and senior advisor to the Commanding General.
  • Conduct strategic analysis and studies in coordination with various military staff and directorates.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate team efforts in response to special taskings from the Command Group.
  • Directly supervise personnel of the Command Group support staff and coordinating/special staff.

Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Experience in aviation program management functions and resource management.
  • Ability to conduct studies to determine effectiveness of planning strategies and impacts on budget and manpower.
  • Experience in personnel management, including evaluating employees and implementing disciplinary measures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Department of Defense policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Army Aviation programs and operations.
