About the position

The Program Manager at Residential Transitions, Inc. plays a crucial role in overseeing services and staff within a designated community residential setting. This position involves managing clinical evaluations at the program level for individuals diagnosed with severe mental illnesses, developmental disabilities, or traumatic brain injuries. The Program Manager is responsible for a wide range of administrative activities that encompass the full cycle of employment for staff, including interviewing, onboarding, support, evaluation, and disciplinary actions. Given the nature of the Direct Support Professional (DSP) environment, the staff will be engaged in intensive one-on-one care for clients, operating 24/7. The Program Manager will report directly to the Area Director and will have direct reports, ensuring that the team is well-supported and compliant with all necessary regulations. In this role, the Program Manager will also be tasked with ensuring compliance with state regulations and working with a variety of severe mental illness diagnoses, such as Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Schizophrenia, and PTSD. The position requires a blend of industry knowledge, clinical expertise, and leadership experience, making it essential for the Program Manager to possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. The role also involves a commitment to a person-centered approach, aligning with the philosophical values of the organization and its mission to serve culturally diverse populations effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee services and staff at a designated location.
  • Conduct clinical evaluations at the program level for individuals with severe mental illness, developmental disabilities, or traumatic brain injuries.
  • Manage administrative activities related to the full cycle of employment for staff, including interviewing, onboarding, support, evaluation, and discipline.
  • Ensure compliance with all state regulations and regulatory agencies.
  • Work with a range of severe mental illness diagnoses, including Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Schizophrenia, and PTSD.
  • Meet one-on-one with program clients to assess needs and provide support.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of combined education and/or experience in a relevant field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Associate's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older under supervision.
  • Full-time work experience supervising those providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older as an authorized staff person.
  • Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check.
  • Ability to pass the BCA Criminal Background Check and the Sexual Exploitation of Patients by Psychotherapist screen required by DHS.
  • Ability to organize and work independently.
  • Willingness to travel within the Metro Area with a current driver's license and personal vehicle.
