About the position

The Program Manager for Energy Efficiency Programs in Agriculture at ICF will oversee the delivery of energy efficiency initiatives for a California Electric Utility Agricultural Energy Efficiency Program. This role involves project management, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with various teams to ensure successful program implementation, particularly focusing on underserved agricultural communities. The position requires building relationships with clients and managing subcontractors to enhance energy efficiency in agricultural practices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multi-functional project team to ensure timely and professional completion of tasks and achieve program performance indicators.
  • Build industry relationships and provide insights to ensure efficient program operations.
  • Act as a liaison with property owners, property managers, developers, and community stakeholders to provide direction and insights to program teams.
  • Coordinate with regional and national teams to bring efficiencies and best practices to client programs.
  • Manage subcontractors, establish milestones, and monitor adherence to program plans and schedules.
  • Oversee utility program performance including financial management, contract deliverables, and operational efficiencies.
  • Manage program forecasts, goals, and budgets.
  • Serve as the main client point-of-contact to ensure all program objectives are met.
  • Analyze market trends and technologies to enhance program deployment opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in energy resources, sciences, sustainability, business, engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in project management, particularly in energy efficiency or demand response programs.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with agricultural energy efficiency in California.
  • Knowledge of electric end-use equipment such as lighting, pumps, fans, and controls.
  • Experience managing consulting projects in California with quality control and budget accountability.
  • Familiarity with agricultural end-user characteristics and markets.
  • Consulting experience managing projects for clients and writing proposals.
  • Experience working with agricultural stakeholders such as builders and contractors.
  • Industry certifications such as BPI, PMP, CEM.
  • Professional affiliations with organizations like AESP, MEECA, MEEA, ACEEE, ASHRAE, or AEE.
