About the position

The Program Manager for Energy Efficiency Programs in Agriculture will oversee the California Electric Utility Agricultural Energy Efficiency Program, ensuring successful project management and delivery across various functional areas. This role involves building relationships with stakeholders, managing subcontractors, and implementing program strategies to enhance energy efficiency for agricultural customers, particularly in underserved communities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multi-functional project team to ensure timely and professional completion of tasks and achieve program performance indicators.
  • Build industry relationships and provide insights to ensure efficient program operations.
  • Act as a liaison with property owners, property managers, developers, and community stakeholders to understand trends and provide direction to program teams.
  • Manage subcontractors, establish milestones, and monitor adherence to program plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage program costs and budgets, and forecast monthly performance.
  • Oversee utility program performance, including financial management, contract deliverables, and operational efficiencies.
  • Analyze market trends and technologies to enhance deployment opportunities for program advancement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in energy resources, sciences, sustainability, business, engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in project management, specifically in energy efficiency or demand response programs.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with agricultural energy efficiency in California.
  • Knowledge of electric end-use equipment such as lighting, pumps, fans, and controls.
  • Experience managing consulting projects in California with quality control and budget accountability.
  • Familiarity with agricultural end-user characteristics and markets.
  • Experience working with agricultural stakeholders such as builders and contractors.
  • Industry certifications such as BPI, PMP, CEM.
  • Professional affiliations with organizations like AESP, MEECA, MEEA, ACEEE, ASHRAE, or AEE.
