About the position

The Program Manager will lead the newly established Entertainment Services Division in Sacramento, overseeing the permitting of special events, entertainment venues, and commercial filming. This role aims to promote Sacramento as a vibrant entertainment destination while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. The Program Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to streamline processes and create policies that facilitate entertainment activities, enhancing the city's cultural landscape.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, coordinates, and manages major programs or projects with high visibility and citywide impact.
• Coordinates administrative functions including budget preparation, financial management, contract administration, and personnel administration for the program.
• Develops procedures and methodologies within compliance requirements; interprets and applies existing policies to actual situations.
• Serves as principal contact for the program/project; confers with department heads, division chiefs, and other officials regarding programs and regulations.
• Develops and maintains informational and statistical reports regarding program performance and service levels; conducts customer service audits.
• Writes RFP/RFQs, contracts, and grant applications; negotiates terms and performance standards.
• Provides exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
