About the position

The Program Manager for Federal Programs at AECOM will oversee the long-term management and growth of the Federal portfolio in the Mid-Atlantic, specifically the Baltimore-Washington Region. This role involves managing large capacity multi-year contracts, leading a dedicated project management team, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards while delivering complex architectural and engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead federal projects and programs for various Federal Agencies.
• Build and lead successful program management teams.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, and General Contractor firms.
• Direct and lead teams to achieve contractual performance and financial milestones.
• Oversee project managers and project controls.
• Provide direction and oversight to AECOM staff and subcontractors.
• Analyze financial statements and complete budget tracking.
• Prepare work plans and organize project studies.
• Conduct reviews and provide staff feedback for improvement.
• Develop pipelines and client engagement plans.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Architecture or Engineering plus eight (8) years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

• 12 years of experience managing projects and programs.
• Licensed PE or RA is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Federal-Civilian and DoD agencies.
• Existing relationships with Federal clients in the Baltimore-Washington Region.
• Experience with Design-Build delivery and partnering with General Contractors.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
