About the position

The Program Manager for Field Talent Acquisition & Growth at Northwestern Mutual is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing initiatives that enhance talent acquisition and growth strategies within the field. This role focuses on empowering field leaders, modernizing candidate experiences, and ensuring effective communication and engagement with stakeholders to drive measurable behavior change and talent development.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, and implementation of TalentWorks initiatives to drive Field Talent and Talent Acquisition and Growth priorities.
  • Lead the design and implementation of large, integrated talent initiatives that deliver results through talent team engagement and local office adoption.
  • Develop clear, effective, consistent, and persuasive communications and content aligned with the Northwestern Mutual brand.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high impact programs, communications, content, and tools.
  • Design, develop, implement, and measure home office and field-facing adoption processes, systems, and structures.
  • Manage the quality creation, copywriting, and delivery of measurable and effective resources that support key Talent Acquisition & Growth initiatives.
  • Lead training and manage governance of TalentWorks engagement and adoption strategies by the Talent Acquisition and Growth team.

Requirements

  • B.S. /B.A. degree in business, marketing, communications, adult learning or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in designing and delivering learning content, adoption strategies, and field enablement plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish tracking and measurement systems and adjust approach based on data.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

  • Knowledgeable on how to best leverage a multi-channel strategy to support communications and engagement with target audiences.
