The University of Michigan is seeking a dedicated Program Manager for Housing Support and Community Responsibility to join a team committed to fostering diverse, inclusive, and equitable student experiences. This role is integral to the Michigan Housing team, which focuses on supporting individuals of all identities through a restorative practice framework. The Program Manager will be responsible for case management leadership, collaborating with campus partners, and leading initiatives that promote student well-being and community engagement. The position requires a proactive approach to resolving community conflicts and facilitating restorative practices among students. As a primary case manager, the Program Manager will handle reports of student concerns and behaviors within the conduct system, ensuring that each case is processed appropriately. This includes meeting with students to provide support and guidance, particularly for those whose experiences have disrupted their daily routines. The Program Manager will also lead the Community Circle program, which engages students in discussions about community harm and restoration, fostering a sense of accountability and healing within the community. In addition to case management, the Program Manager will be responsible for hiring, training, and supervising both undergraduate and graduate student staff who facilitate restorative community circles. This includes developing and delivering training sessions for Housing staff on restorative practices, ensuring that all team members are equipped to support students effectively.
