About the position

The Program Manager at Palomar Christian Conference Center is responsible for the creation, implementation, oversight, and direction of all program camps, ensuring that each program aligns with the center's mission of spiritual growth and outreach. This role involves leading a program team, coordinating outdoor education initiatives, and working closely with the management team to achieve strategic goals. The Program Manager will also oversee the recruitment and training of staff, manage budgets, and ensure excellence in program delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Creation, implementation, oversight, and direction of all PCCC program camps.
  • Oversee various PCCC programs including Outdoor Education, Boys Adventure Camp, and Girl's Horse Camp.
  • Prepare financial budgets for the Program department and ensure spending is maintained within approved budgets.
  • Market PCCC programs in conjunction with the Lead Director.
  • Fill all youth camps with campers and oversee health care related to programs.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all Program staff.
  • Lead and support program leads in planning and executing their programs.
  • Prayerfully lead the Program department to serve with excellence.
  • Set deadlines and standards for program development and implementation.
  • Evaluate camper experiences through surveys and conversations.
  • Run an impactful Outdoor Education program and develop relationships with local schools.
  • Engage in Leadership Team meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Coordinate program department help for camp activities on weekends and offseason.
  • Assist in the care of horses and use carpentry skills for program needs.

Requirements

  • At least three years of prior work experience in a comparable field including supervision of a program team.
  • Demonstrates a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in basic Microsoft applications (Windows, Office, etc.).
  • Able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
  • Able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Possesses good managerial and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Five or more years of experience in a similar role is desired.
  • College degree is preferred.

Benefits

  • Full-time position with a salary range of $66.3K - $84K per year.
