About the position

The Program Manager for the GENESIS initiative at Roseman University is responsible for establishing and maintaining community partnerships that support the university's outreach efforts. This role involves overseeing program specialists, ensuring compliance with policies, and providing technical training and support for outreach activities. The position requires travel between campus and community sites to address community needs and promote the university's mission.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the Program Specialists utilizing standardized assessment tools to promote a consistent quality performance.
• Creates and implements activities to retain households and assists in the curriculum, such as providing expertise on community-based student projects.
• Ensures compliance with relevant Roseman and outreach policies, procedures, and federal and state regulations and laws to maintain a private and confidential work environment.
• Provides field supervision (e.g., community events, household visits, etc.) and technical training and support for all outreach members before, during and after field activities.
• Establishes and maintains partnerships with community organizations to create ongoing awareness of Roseman University College of Medicine and GENESIS to recruit households and provide service to the community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of related experience or Master's degree in an appropriate specialization and 2 years of related experience, or any combination of education, experience and training which provides the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
• Experience involving community outreach and a social work background preferred.
• Experience working with community organizations and under-served community members.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual (Spanish/Asian Pacific Island language) a plus.
