About the position

The Program Manager for Health Equity and Community Impact at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital is responsible for strategic planning and implementation of diversity, cultural competency, and health equity initiatives. This role focuses on enhancing community engagement, addressing social determinants of health, and improving access to services for disadvantaged communities. The Program Manager will lead various health equity programs, provide education to staff, and oversee community health projects aimed at reducing health disparities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic planning and consultations on diversity, cultural competency, outreach, equity, and inclusion programs.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with internal staff, community partners, and disadvantaged communities.
  • Manage health equity programming and provide cultural competency education to staff.
  • Lead the Cultural Diversity Council and Health Equity Community Advisory Board.
  • Develop and implement community health projects and events that address health disparities.
  • Oversee the Community Health Worker.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Five years of experience in community/public health and diversity/inclusion fields.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Certificate in Diversity & Inclusion preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating community programs.
  • Demonstrated skills in developing relationships with diverse populations.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.

  • Bilingual proficiency.
