Program Manager, Hospitality - BUS

About the position

Kennesaw State University is seeking a dedicated individual to develop, organize, and implement comprehensive programs within the hospitality management department. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, serving as a liaison with industry partners, and executing recruiting activities. The successful candidate will also oversee student professional development activities and manage co-curricular activities related to the hospitality program. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to evaluate program effectiveness while ensuring compliance with university policies.

Responsibilities

• Serves as liaison with industry partners and other clients on program activities.
• Responsible for day-to-day operations of the hospitality management program.
• Plans and executes recruiting activities in conjunction with the program director.
• Manages the hospitality leadership club and student professional development activities.
• Oversees hospitality program's extra and co-curricular activities.
• Prepares written correspondence and communicates with the industry advisory board.
• Develops, prepares, coordinates, and implements assigned programs.
• Manages department communications including marketing and social media.
• Serves as liaison with academic divisions and departments.
• Assists in developing and managing budget processes.
• Manages event planning, marketing, and logistics.
• Interprets and implements policies and procedures.
• Creates and analyzes assessment programs.
• Facilitates program components and operational reporting.
• Assists with developing new programming.
• Prepares operational reports for decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
• Three years of related work experience.

• An advanced degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
• Experience in the hospitality industry.
• Experience with Canva's design tools for creating marketing materials.
