The Program Manager I-Utility Regulatory Compliance position at the City of Fort Wayne is a critical role that involves providing strategic leadership and ensuring compliance with regulatory permits and policies for City Utilities. Additionally, the Program Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for stormwater pollution prevention plans, manage budgets for programs, and assist with the implementation of stormwater best management practices. The role also involves coordinating with MS4 co-permittees and providing support to teams to ensure compliance with permit requirements through data collection and report preparation. In terms of management and operations, the Program Manager will maintain a thorough understanding of environmental laws and regulations affecting the operations of Fort Wayne City Utilities. This includes monitoring changes in the regulatory climate and preparing summaries of proposed regulatory changes. The incumbent will also be responsible for developing a positive team atmosphere within the Regulatory Compliance Program and ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members. The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to respond appropriately to inquiries from the public and other stakeholders, representing the City at various meetings and public forums.
