About the position

As a Program Manager I at SNC, you will play a crucial role in supporting business objectives by managing multiple software development and sustainment contracts valued at less than $20M. This position emphasizes customer relationship management, cost and schedule oversight, technical planning, and ensuring overall program performance. You will supervise program and project staff, serve as the primary point of contact for customers, and coordinate with various corporate entities to fulfill program requirements. Your responsibilities will include risk management, proposal development, and ensuring that enterprise initiatives meet budget and schedule constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct the weekly and monthly cycles for programs including schedules, hours, risks, deliverables, etc.
  • Support all proposals, Rough Orders of Magnitude and Budgetary Estimates for new and future work
  • Conduct procurement management to meet customer and schedule needs
  • Identify and track all risks and risk mitigations for each program
  • Develop and manage the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for software development, release and sustainment activities
  • Coordinate and lead all program meetings while working with a technical lead
  • Work closely with customers and end users to develop plans and road maps for new capabilities, fixes and upgrades to the software applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field
  • Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in project or program management
  • Minimum 1+ year experience leading teams made up of 3+ cross functional team members
  • Experience with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes
  • Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes
  • Experience with contract negotiations, and the difference in contract types
  • Experience with managing multiple projects and/or a small program
  • Experience with being the primary focal for a customer
  • Demonstrated financial acumen to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible
  • Ability to execute coordination of all elements of a program, i.e., Program integration management
  • Capability to manage program lifecycle conflicts, prioritize competing priorities/requests, and evaluate available resources
  • Leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
  • Requires ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations
  • Requires skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplines
  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
