About the position

The Program Manager II for Infrastructure Portfolio Controls at Google plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the infrastructure capacity needed to support Google's expanding product portfolio. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that infrastructure projects are executed efficiently and effectively, while also focusing on continuous improvement and governance processes related to data center management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop governance processes, standards, and methodologies for tracking Google's data center portfolio.
  • Maintain tooling and workflows for data collection, processing, visualization, and reporting of metrics related to data center acquisition and asset management.
  • Track completion and ensure consistency and quality of data collection, measuring progress against defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide excellent communication and respond to stakeholder inquiries regarding technical design and process standards.
  • Document lessons learned and implement change management programs to maintain quality and accuracy standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 2 years of experience in data analytics.
  • Experience in a cross-functional role collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with power transmission and distribution, telecommunications infrastructure, data center technology, or industrial class development.
  • Passionate about trustworthy data and transparent metrics.
