About the position

The Program Manager II for Infrastructure Portfolio Controls at Google plays a crucial role in managing a complex portfolio of infrastructure projects. This position is part of the Energy and Location Strategy (ELS) team, which is responsible for delivering the necessary infrastructure capacity to support Google's expanding product portfolio. The role involves developing governance processes, maintaining data collection tools, and ensuring the quality and consistency of data related to data center acquisitions and asset management. The Program Manager will work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and deliver impactful results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop governance processes, standards, and methodologies for tracking Google's data center portfolio.
  • Maintain tooling and workflows for data collection, processing, visualization, and reporting of metrics related to data center acquisition and asset management.
  • Track completion and measure progress of acquisitions and project development against defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide excellent communication and respond to stakeholder inquiries regarding technical design and process standards.
  • Document lessons learned and implement change management programs to maintain quality and accuracy standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 2 years of experience in data analytics.
  • Experience in a cross-functional role collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with power transmission and distribution, telecommunications infrastructure, data center technology, or industrial class development.
