About the position

As a Program Manager within the GSS AI & Data Solutions team at Uber, you will manage pilots and large-scale Gen AI/data labeling projects. This role is crucial for driving the successful execution of complex projects from inception to delivery, requiring a blend of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and business understanding. You will lead cross-functional programs, ensuring alignment with stakeholder objectives and delivering projects within budget and timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a team of data annotators to drive quality and efficiency.
  • Deliver qualitative and quantitative insights to improve model development and maintenance based on customer needs.
  • Define program scope, OKRs, and KPIs, ensuring alignment with stakeholder objectives.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams across ops, engineering, and product for all data annotation needs.
  • Own the program budget and drive efficiency while maintaining high quality.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks and issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
  • Analyze program performance and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Provide regular program updates to stakeholders, including executive leadership, and conduct business reviews.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3.5 years of experience in program management or operations management (5 years preferred).
  • Experience in solving structured and ambiguous problems at scale with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to support decisions.
  • Experience working on large-scale projects, particularly in LLM evaluations, Gen AI projects, or ML-based data annotation.
  • Vendor/account management experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree obtained.
