About the position

As a Program Manager at Google, you will be at the forefront of leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects that span across various teams and locations. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to meticulously plan project requirements, manage schedules, identify potential risks, and maintain clear communication with cross-functional partners throughout the organization. This position requires a proactive approach to coordinating efforts across different offices, time zones, and hemispheres, ensuring that all players are informed about progress and deadlines. You will be part of the Cloud Supply Chain and Operations organization, which is crucial for delivering the compute capabilities that power Google and the Google Cloud Platform. Specifically, you will work within the Product Manufacturing and Build Management team, which is responsible for optimizing the manufacturing production of servers, machine learning, and networking equipment for Google's data centers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful delivery of sustaining and New Product Introduction (NPI) production hardware into Google's data centers. In this role, you will also be tasked with developing processes that enable constraint planning and mitigation across multiple Contract Manufacturers, particularly in supply and labor-constrained environments. You will manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring that requirements are comprehensive and that the scope is well-defined with input from multiple cross-functional stakeholders. Additionally, you will drive process development, iterative optimizations, and tool development to support the ongoing evolution of the team. Your efforts will be instrumental in identifying supply chain risks and mitigation opportunities, ensuring a smooth transition to volume production outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan project requirements and manage schedules.
  • Identify risks and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners.
  • Coordinate efforts across different offices, time zones, and hemispheres.
  • Partner with Machines Delivery, Supply Planning, and Material Planning teams to develop build planning strategies.
  • Develop processes for constraint planning and mitigation across multiple Contract Manufacturers.
  • Manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring requirements are complete and scope is well defined.
  • Drive process development, iterative optimizations, and tool development.
  • Identify supply chain risks and mitigation opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience managing projects.
  • Experience in supply chain operations or materials management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Engineering or MBA in Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience in hardware product supply chain delivery through the entire life-cycle.
  • Experience in driving process improvement projects from idea to implementation and adoption.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
