About the position

The Sr. Program Manager at CDW is responsible for delivering and managing strategic solutions and programs across various business segments. This role involves independently managing high-complexity projects with significant visibility, often working with enterprise clients under strict constraints. The Sr. Program Manager leads mixed teams, ensures project profitability, and maintains alignment with strategic business objectives while managing risks and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all programs and projects using CDWG's proven delivery methodology, adapting as necessary.
  • Accountable for project profitability, tracking budgets, and making recommendations for adjustments.
  • Validate initial program/project scope and estimates, influencing program recommendations at the executive level.
  • Set strategy for minimizing impact and risk to the client due to project changes.
  • Maintain continuous alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives.
  • Identify and interpret risks from dependent projects and mitigate them accordingly.
  • Proactively conduct resource planning and address resource constraints.
  • Establish and own program communication plans for all stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and government policies during service delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or computer-related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10 or more years of experience in delivering quality Project Management.
  • Five or more years of experience in leading significant technology projects in support of government programs.
  • PMP or PgMP certification required.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance strongly preferred.
  • Significant success leading projects with enterprise or strategic customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to take accountability for projects and their results.
  • Working knowledge of formal project management methodologies and proficiency with Microsoft Project/Office.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • ITIL V3 certification preferred.
  • Experience in managing diverse contract types including Firm Fixed Price, Time & Material, Cost Plus, and As a Service.
  • Familiarity with Government contracts and programs.
  • Understanding of FISMA and FEDRAMP.
  • Experience with Business Value and Impact Analysis.
